Tasting notes
More cassis, violets, and flowers emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard, which has a more focused, ageworthy, elegant style. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured as well as balanced, it has remarkably polished, sweet tannins, which can be hard to find in the 2017 vintage. Drink it any time over the coming 15 years or so.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard is a dense, powerful wine. Black cherry, plum, graphite, incense, bittersweet chocolate, lavender and cloves infuse the 2017 with tons of complexity and Stags Leap character. Readers should expect a dense, hedonistically opulent Napa Valley Cabernet. This is just superb.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 “Regusci Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon comes charging out of the glass with cherry compote, baked plums, blueberry pie and licorice scents plus touches of underbrush and smoked meats. Full-bodied and concentrated, with a firm, chewy frame, it packs loads of baked black fruit into the mouth and has a lingering earthy finish.
