The 2016 Cabernet Franc is a Cabernet Franc-dominated effort that includes 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, and 2% Malbec aged in a mix of French and Hungarian oak. It has classic red and black currant fruits, plenty of spring flower and gravelly minerality, full body, pure, polished tannins, and just impeccable balance. It's concentrated and powerful, yet still has fabulous Cabernet Franc elegance and purity. Drink it any time over the coming two decades.

The 2016 Cabernet Franc is a deeply intriguing wine endowed with tremendous energy and explosiveness. Mocha, plum, graphite and leather are some of the many notes that fill out the wine's ample frame. This is a decidedly brooding expression of Franc, and yet there is so much going on. I would prefer to cellar the 2016 for at least a few years.
Blended of 75% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot and 2% Malbec, the 2016 Cabernet Franc is deep garnet-purple in color and offers up a gorgeous nose of fragrant earth, red roses, black raspberries and spice cake with hints of redcurrant jelly, wild blueberries and forest floor plus a waft of black tea. Full-bodied, the palate possess bags of poise and polish, with firm, finely grained tannins matching the intensity of perfumed red fruits, finishing long and lively. Just beautiful.
