Magnum. Not especially deep ruby. Lovely scent that is quite complex and floral. Much more elegant, even in magnum, than stereotypical Pommard. Chewy tannins insist only at the end. Quite a dancer of a wine. Lively and very correct. Round, broad and scented. Should certainly improve. (JR)

Volnay’s Domaine de Montille is one of the most historic in the Côte d’Or. Founded in 1730, the property remains family-owned and run, with Etienne de Montille – the ninth generation – at the helm today.
