Tasting notes
Consistently an exceptional value and representation of the estate, the 2022 Zinfandel Old Vine is the estate's signature wine, accounting for approximately half of their production, coming from vines averaging over 80 years old. Pouring a magenta/light purple color, it exhibits notes of fresh, ripe raspberries, peppercorn, and floral perfume, maintaining lovely clarity throughout. Medium-bodied, with a fine, silky texture, it has great lift and ripe acidity. They used large barrels and demi-muids to keep tension in the wine in this warm vintage. Drink 2025-2032.

Full bottle 1,221 g. Medium verging on deep purple in colour. Iron shavings, bramble and blueberry/blackberry preserves on the nose. Fresh elevated acidity, rich ripe fruit, elevated dusty tannin and a dried-earthy finish. (SCJ)
The 2023 Zinfandel Old Vine comes from vines averaging 80 years old, and Bedrock farms the fruit for about 75% of this blend. The 2022 Zinfandel Old Vine has gregarious aromas of wild berry jam, apricot, earth and spice. The light-bodied palate has gently rustic, plummy flavors, tangy acidity, clay-textured tannins and a spicy finish. Drink it over the next 3-5 years.
