Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2032, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2022
The 2019 Chardonnay Russian River Valley pours a rich golden appearance and is potent with classic aromatics of jasmine, toasted brioche, and baked apple. The palate is ripe with candied pineapple, ginger, and a hint of salinity as well as a long, clean finish. This layered wine is drinking well now and will continue to drink nicely through 2032. From winemaker Michael Browne, also of CIRQ and co-founder of Kosta Browne, CHEV currently produces only three wines, two from the Russian River Valley and now one Pinot Noir from Oregon.
