Dark purple. Dark berry liqueur, cola and vanilla bean on the intensely perfumed nose and palate. Plush, seamless, palate-staining blackberry and blackcurrant flavors pick up a sexy floral pastille quality with air. Shows impressive vivacity for such a rich wine and finishes with excellent clarity and persistent sweetness.

Opaque purple. Oak-spiced aromas of cherry-cola, blueberry, violet and minerals, with an intense, smoky overtone. Sweet dark berry preserve flavors are complicated by notes of vanilla and mocha, with the floral quality repeating. Lots of sexy, sweet fruit here and it seems up to the lumber. Finishes with emphatic spicy thrust and lingering sweetness. This was raised in 70% new oak.
