2005 Luca Malbec

The 2005 Malbec Old Vine was made from a relatively cool vintage and is all Malbec, from old selections of massal pre-phylloxera vines. It’s still bright and alive, combining mature characteristics of dark chocolate and berry fruit, the tannins mellowed with age. The French oak adds lingering notes of clove and smoke to this medium-bodied, supple wine, which should be enjoyed now and for another 3-5 years more.
