Lots of blueberry and floral aromas with citrus and floral undertones. Full-bodied, focused and rich with a layered and beautiful finish. Hints of chocolate and hazelnuts. Cofermented beauty. Better after 2022.

Kinsman's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rhadamanthus Diamond Mountain District has really grown over the course of its barrel aging. Powerful and explosive, with tremendous concentration, the 2016 is all class. Inky dark fruit, lavender, spice, game and a host of savory/mineral inflections abound. The 2016 is a wine of magnificent intensity and pure power. Surprisingly, it may still have room to grow!

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rhadamanthus is blended of Cabernet Sauvignon co-fermented with 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec, all from Diamond Mountain. Deep garnet-purple colored, it sings of chocolate-covered cherries, dried mulberries, spice cake and potpourri over a cassis and blueberry pie core plus touches of black olives and charcuterie. Full-bodied, the rich, decadent black fruit is beautifully accented with herbal and red fruit notions, finishing long and layered.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rhadamanthus Diamond Mountain District, from the former Reverie and von Strasser properties, exudes depth and concentration in a decidedly virile style. Plum, graphite, game, cured meats and smoke add to an impression of gravitas. This explosive, tannic Cabernet is likely to require a number of years to be at its very best. Even so, it is positively captivating at this early stage.
