Tasting notes
Brilliant red. Deep-pitched red and blue fruit and floral pastille scents are energized by suggestions of smoky minerals and Asian spices. Chewy and tightly focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that slowly unfurl on the back half. Shows excellent clarity and mineral drive on a very long, youthfully tannic finish that features lingering berry and candied rose notes.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge is pale to medium ruby-purple in color with a lovely, open nose of warm red cherries and red berries with touches of cloves and cinnamon plus wonderful earthy aromas of dried leaves and a faint herbal suggestion. Medium-bodied, it has a great concentration of perfectly ripe black fruits in the mouth with spicy touches and a line of crushed rock minerality, with fine-grained tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing long and spicy. 515 cases produced.
