Score 76/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2009

Showing a dark red, blood color, the 2005 Zaca Mesa Syrah has big, herbaceous aromas of dark fruit, smoke, earth and vegetables. The palate is medium bodied, thin, and tannic, lacking charm and flesh. This improves with air but is not recommended.
