Tasting notes
I was able to taste three Pinot Noirs from Trombetta. Starting with the 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, this deeper ruby effort displays a solid bouquet of mulled blackberries, black cherries, roasted herbs, flowery incense, and loads of spice. A rich, medium to full-bodied red, it offers some background oak, a deep, fleshy mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a good finish. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.

Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has a nose of warm earth, autumn leaves, cured meats, dried red cherries and cranberries and light spicy touches of cinnamon stick, Earl Grey tea, dried violets and potpourri. Light to medium-bodied, it has a core of spicy fruits with a soft frame and juicy acidity, finishing long.
