Score 92/100 · Drink 2005-2017, Robert Parker, Oct 2005
The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa exhibits exotic roasted characteristics along with loads of tannin, and plenty of soft, viscous, black currant fruit infused with hints of road tar, licorice, and spice. The oak has been toned down considerably. Consequently, the fruit and vintage character are far more obvious. The 2001 should drink well for 10-12 years.
