Tasting notes
The 2014 Grenache Vie Caprice Vineyard is beautifully focused, lifted and bright, with beams of acidity and tannin that give the wine its sense of proportion and overall energy. This is a distinctly earthy, savory style of Grenache, and it works. A wine of real personality and character, the Vie Caprice should continue to drink nicely for at least a handful of years.

One of my favorites in the lineup, with its ripe black raspberry, licorice, toasted spice and garrigue aromas and flavors, the 2014 Grenache Vie Caprice Vineyard is medium-bodied, supple, pretty and polished on the palate. It's not a heavyweight, yet it has considerable elegance and charm. Like all of these 100% Grenache releases, it was fermented with 50% whole clusters and aged in neutral French oak.
