The 2003 Zinfandel Grist Vineyard (250 cases from rocky volcanic mountaintop soils) tips the scales at a whopping 15.7% alcohol, but it is completely concealed behind copious quantities of briery and raspberry fruit as well as some peppery, loamy soil notes.
