Tasting notes
Deep red. An expansive bouquet of ripe dark fruits, cherry cola, licorice and musky flowers shows an energizing touch of smoky minerality. Juicy and seamless in texture, offering palate-staining blackberry, cherry liqueur and spicecake flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Fine-grained, building tannins frame the very long, smooth finish, which leaves a sexy floral note behind.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Hyland Vineyard has a pale ruby-purple color and nose of cranberries, underbrush and dried leaves with touches of Sichuan pepper, oolong tea and black soil. Medium-bodied with rounded tannins and earthy characters defining the palate, it has appealing freshness and an herbal lift on the finish.
