Score 87/100 · Drink 2014-2021, Mark Squires, Aug 2014
The 2011 Tinto (Churchill Estates) is the typical blend of 40% Touriga Nacional and 30% each of Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, about 30% of which was aged for 12 months in a mixture of new and old oak, the other 70% in tank. Charming, crisp and friendly, this bottling never has much depth, but its graceful and well-balanced demeanor is always appealing for a wine that can drink well young and age a bit, too. Fresh and friendly, it improved with some air in the glass and fleshed out a bit, too. It is pretty tasty. Drink now-2021. Importer: Frederick Wildman & Sons, New York, NY; tel. (212) 355-0700
