Tasting notes
Made with 80% Pint Nero (from 2020) and 20% Chardonnay (from the 2020 and 2019 vintages), the Ca' del Bosco NV Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige Rosé Extra Brut 45 Edizione sees partial oak and finishes sur lie for 30 months. Showing a salmon/rich-pink color, with aromas of vanilla cream and wild strawberry, its flavors are tart or underripe. You feel structure despite a gentle mouthfeel and perlage. Compared to the white version that celebrates this same anniversary, this wine feels like it has more acidity and firmness.

With its rusty color, this is a bit suspect, but thereâs actually some good dried peaches, dust and clay. Full-bodied and very intense but quite reserved somehow on the finish. Drink now.
The NV Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Nero and 20% Chardonnay. It exhibits a pale pink color that has evidently been studied and carefully executed. That same attention to detail is applied to the bouquet. Delicate and vibrant aromas of forest berry and cassis emerge slowly from the glass. It also shows subtle yeast aromas of baked bread or croissant. The wine's texture is lean and firm, and the soft effervescence serves to keep the palate clean.
75% Pinot Nero, 25% Chardonnay. Lightly spumante. Smells properly champenoise. Dry finish with lots of fruit on the way there. Very well made. Clean and fresh. Summery. Dry strawberry juice? (JR)
