A blend of 50% Viognier, 27% Roussanne, and 23% Grenache Blanc, the rich, blockbuster styled 2010 Caliza Winery Kissin' Cousins White Rhone Blend has upfront and exuberant aromas of ripe peaches, honeysuckle, flowers, mineral, and vanilla just soaring from the glass. Despite the ripeness level, this is still beautifully pure and fresh on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a voluptuous, thick texture, low acidity, and a long, fruit packed finish that stays remarkably fresh, this isn't for the faint of heart, but it's certainly a fun drink that delivers loads of texture and flavor in a very well done package. Given the low acidity and richness, I would plan on drinking this soon rather than later.
