2020 Torrin Grenache The Maven

Rose and violets give way to fresh cedar shavings as the 2020 Maven opens in the glass. This is vividly fruit-focused and wonderfully fresh, with crisp red fruits complicated by inner herbal tones as racy acidity adds a lovely freshness. This finishes long, lightly structured and full of zesty tension, ending on raspberry sauce notes and the slightest hint of charred wood. There's a bit of smoke taint here, yet it doesn't get in the way. It’s a blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah.
