Tasting notes
Pale gold. Ripe peach, pear and honeydew melon and vanilla scents are sharpened by building mineral and spice notes. Smooth and fleshy on the palate, offering juicy orchard and pit fruit flavors that show very good depth as well as energy. A smoky aspect develops on the long, supple finish, which leaves a hint of pear nectar behind. 40% new French oak.

Produced as a white wine from Pinot Noir grapes, the 2015 Coeur Blanc opens with Golden Delicious apple and spiced pear notes, with hints of raspberry leaves and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied, with a lively line of crisp acid lending a refreshing edge to the apple and honeyed flavors, it finishes with a youthful crunchiness. Given the style, I’m thinking it could age impressively over the next 3-5 years.
