Tasting notes
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown has a deep garnet-purple color and opens with tobacco and tapenade notes with a core of blackcurrants and red and black plums plus a waft of spice cake. Medium-bodied, soft and laden with juicy black and red fruit flavors, it finishes with compelling restraint.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown is bright, floral and nicely lifted. The more finessed side of Stags Leap comes through in this attractive, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon. I would prefer to drink the 2016 over the next decade or so given its mid-weight structure and easygoing personality.
Attractive cassis here with a wealth of plush and nicely ripe blackberry and red-plum aromas and flavors. The palate has fine, firm tannins that carry long and fresh. Drink or hold.
