2020 Arnot-Roberts Chardonnay Haynes Vineyard

A new wine in this range, the 2020 Chardonnay Haynes Vineyard captures all the character of this site in Coombsville. Readers will find a deep, phenolic Chardonnay built on structure. Dried flowers, sage, mint and dried pear add layers of nuance. Because of the tiny production of just two barrels, the Haynes was fermented in oak, which is not the norm here, but an approach that worked very well here in bringing out the essence of place. About 80% of this fruit is from 80 year-old vines.
