Dazzlingly diverse as well as phenomenally viscous and creamy, this elixir beautifully reflects the proclivities of its site to convey floral nuances and a sense of energy as well as those of its author to incorporate in any nobly sweet Riesling, even TBA, a diversity of fruit including overripe and botrytized but also green-golden and healthy but shriveled (that last category having been unusually abundant in 2015). White peach syrup mingled with Chartreuse-like floral and herbal essences and studded with candied lime peel makes for correspondingly heady aromatic allure. Refreshing brightness enlivens the palate thanks to a stream of fresh, juicy lime. A vibrantly stimulating, near-endless finish caps this infant candidate for further complexity and eventual legendary status.

The Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Abts E Gold Capsule shows a noble, beautifully clear, ripe and intense nose of raisins, tropical fruits and minerals. Concentrated, sweet and highly elegant, this is a nobly extract of finest Riesling berries. This Riesling is viscous in its texture and very sweet, but balanced by minerals, salt and 15.8 grams of acidity—this is almost an Eszencia. This is a wine made for decades. Highly elegant and noble in its finesse and precise-fruit articulation.
