Tasting notes
Deep shimmering garnet. Potent red/blue fruit and floral aromas are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals, incense and allspice. Silky and broad on the palate, offering juicy, concentrated black raspberry, boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors that flesh out and turn sweeter on the back half. Suave and sharply delineated, delivering strong closing thrust and well-judged tannins that add shape and gentle grip.

Bursting with scents of cherries, plums and dried flowers, the 2017 Saint-Amour Clos du Chapitre is medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and a taut, stony finish. This is a new bottling for the Famille Dutraive label and comes warmly recommended.
