Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Audrey Frick, jebdunnuck.com, Dec 2025

The NV Champagne Les Vignes De Mon Village Dosage Zero is an intense wine in the glass, coming from 40-year-old vines and a blend of 50% 2023 with the rest from 2014 to 2022. Notes of wet stone and anise are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with ripe, fleshy, peach-noted fruit and a frothy mousse. It has a slightly wild edge to it, giving it a more savory and gastronomic feel. Drink 2025-2035.

Disgorged in November 2024 without dosage, the latest release of Moussé’s NV Blanc de Noirs Les Vignes de Mon Village—despite its zero-dosage style—presents a more demonstrative profile, owing to its four grams of residual sugar. Comprising a perpetual cuvée that blends vintages from 2014 to 2022—with 50% from 2022—it opens with expressive aromas of pear, peach and tangerine zest. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, ample and giving, with ripe yet racy acidity and a long, elegantly phenolic finish. As always, it is crafted entirely from Pinot Meunier sourced from Cuisles.

A medium yellow/silver color with a tinge of light copper, the NV Champagne Les Vignes De Mon Village is entirely Meunier, 50% from 2022 and the rest a perpetual reserve dating from 2014 to 2021. The Meunier really shows off in its notes of wild raspberries, rocky wet stones, peach blossoms, delicate spices, and pastry dough. On the palate, it’s highly appealing and mouthwatering, with a fantastic balance of fruit and spice and savory notes. This remarkable release has a lot to hang its hat on in the range. Drink it over the next 10 years.

The NV Champagne Les Vignes de Mon Village is sourced exclusively from Meunier from Cuisles, raised in stainless steel, and it spent 48 months on the lees. Confectionary notes of sugar cookie lift from the glass, with ripe berries and a pure, clean wet stone. It has finesse and balance on the palate, and as with the rest of the range, it is approachable and inviting on the palate, with fresh berries and white flowers. It is fairly long on the palate and moves to more orange zest and salinity on the finish. I think this will hold up nicely over the next 15-20 years.
