Tasting notes
The 2020 Grenache presents a stunning and unmistakable nose of Grenache, with fresh red florals and spiced red fruit characteristics. The nose is delightfully fragrant with aromas of cherries and plum blossoms bursting from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the wine displays a soft tannic edge, likely from adding some pressed juice. This tannic nuance persists through to the finish, making it food friendly as it lingers with notes of potpourri on the aftertaste. Enjoy with food. The Grenache fermented in concrete, with 10% added stems, followed by 20 months of aging in 40% new French oak. Just under 3,000 bottles were produced.

The 2020 Grenache hails from Angela’s vineyard in Red Mountain. It’s spicy with a burst of intense raspberry and clove complicated by balsam herbs. This splashes across the palate, racy and juicy in style, with ripe wild berry fruits motivated by zesty acidity. The slightest bit of heat pokes out through the finish as this tapers off with notes of tart black cherry and a citrus twist.
