Score 91/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016
Gérard Boulay's 2015 Sancerre displays a clear, pure, well defined and concentrated, stunningly aromatic bouquet that comes along as a lovely mix of partly tropical fruit aromas (passion fruit, cassis, cherries, elderberries), blossom, vegetal and nutty notes, as well as flinty Chavignol flavors. Full-bodied, concentrated and very intense on the palate, this is an elegant, pretty complex and perfectly balanced Sancerre with a serious expression and a dry, persistent finish. The acidity is ripe and perfectly integrated as are the firm yet fine tannins.
