2011 Ecluse Wines Improv

(80% zinfandel and 20% petite sirah): Deep ruby. Powerful aromas of dark berry preserves, licorice, dried flowers and woodsmoke. Pungent, smoky blackberry and blueberry flavors coat the palate, with chewy tannins adding grip. The smoky note lingers on the finish, which features dusty tannins and a hint of violet.
