Score 90+/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2015

The 2013 Pinot Noir Reserve presents an intriguing combination of open-knit Sta. Rita Hills fruit underpinned by a vein of firm tannin and bright acidity. Not especially forthcoming today, the 2013 is going to need another year or two to soften. The Reserve is a blend of fruit from Fiddlestix and John Sebastiano and spent eleven months in French oak barrels, 55% new.

Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2021, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Aug 2015

Showing a darker core of fruit, the 2013 Pinot Noir Reserve comes from the Fiddlestix and John Sebastiano vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 11 months in 55% new French oak. It reveals a ruby opaque color to go with terrific notes of caramelized cherries, hints of cassis and spice. Medium-bodied, lively and pure, with solid mid-palate depth and excellent overall balance, it should be at its best from 2016-2021, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see this hold nicely for longer either.
