Tasting notes
Sourced from Block E1, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon is all Clone 337. Boasting complex aromas of mixed red and black cherries, dried spices and loamy earth, it's full-bodied, velvety and opulent in the mouth, then long and softly dusty on the finish. Winemaker Jeff Ames's history with these rows goes back to 2005, when they went to Tor. If you have to have the To Kalon name on a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon but want to keep the cost under three bills, this wine is an excellent choice.

A big, ripe, opulent 2021, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard boasts a dense plum/purple hue as well as a sensational nose of black raspberries, currants, flowery incense, sweet tobacco, and underbrush. This carries to a full-bodied, deep, incredibly layered Cabernet with velvety tannins, a great mid-palate, no hard edges, and a killer finish. Drink this singular beauty over the coming two decades.
