2009 Genium Ecologic

(50% garnacha, 30% merlot, 10% carinena and 10% syrah; 50% new and 50% used French oak): Glass-staining ruby. Smoky raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by notes of Asian spices and vanilla. Rich and deep, offering sweet red fruit flavors that expand and deepen with air. Finishes smooth and very long, with distinct energy for the vintage and velvety, fully absorbed tannins.
