2005 Stolpman L'Avion

As it approaches its 13th birthday, the 2005 L'Avion is drinking beautifully, bursting from the glass with an extravagant bouquet of honey, ripe peach, peach preserve, mandarin, orange blossom and exotic bitters. On the palate, this Roussanne-dominated blend is rich, textural and gourmand, with considerable complexity and inner-mouth perfume and a lingering finish. With a touch more energy, it would score even higher.
