Bright deep ruby.Superripe aromas of black cherry, tar, meat and gingerbread, with a porty suggestion of dried fruits. Suave and very ripe in the mouth, with decent lift to the flavors of dark berries, chocolate, licorice and roasted herbs.Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and good verve.

An excellent value, the 2004 Syrah Fess Parker Vineyards is a blend of 90% Syrah and 10% Petite Sirah. Floral, blackberry, blueberry, crushed rock, and lavender notes, superb intensity, beautiful sweetness, full body, and a seamless constitution suggest this stunning Syrah will drink well for 5-7 years. Kudos to Jeff Cohn for another brilliant line-up.
