This is very tight and firm with walnuts and currants and toasted oak undertones. Hazelnuts, too. Full-bodied, layered and juicy with serious concentration and tightness. Pulled-in and focused. Reserved. Give it three or four years to soften. Try after 2022. 100 cases made.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch is an intriguing wine. Attractive floral and savory notes add nuance to the dark red/purplish berry fruit. The 2015 is undeniably pretty and nuanced, and also a step up from the 2014, but shows very little of the signatures that are commonly found in other wines from this site. The 2015 spent 22 months in French oak, 50% new.
