Tasting notes
Based on 85% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, and 1% Carignan aged in minimal new oak as well as in small concrete cubes, the 2022 Zinfandel offers plums, spice, and earthy, floral nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied, juicy, and easygoing, with good balance and solid fruit character. This approachable effort should be consumed over the coming 3-4 years. Drink 2025-2028.

Full bottle just 1,241 g. Dry-farmed vines from the Williams family, who have kept these in the ground despite Cabernet-mania: 85% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 1% Carignane. Mid shaded garnet. Less heady than many but super-clean and appealing. Neat with, for the first time in this line-up, just a hint of dark-berry flavours. The opposite of an exhibitionistic wine. It's a wine for drinking and enjoying fairly soon. How about that?! (JR)
