The 2021 Inspiracíon is a co-fermented blend of 49% Grenache, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah and 6% Grenache Blanc. It has deep scents of maraschino cherry, blueberry, game meats, licorice, soy sauce and blackcurrant bud. Although the palate is youthfully coiled at this stage, driven by graphite rather than upfront fruit, it has a harmonious structure of pixelated tannins and focused acidity and a long, layered finish with a flourish of spicy accents. It unwinds dramatically as it airs and will benefit from several years in the cellar.

The Spanish-inspired 2021 Inspiracion is mostly Grenache but includes 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 6% Grenache Blanc, all of which spent 14 months in 29% new French oak. It might be one of the finest vintages of this cuvée I've tasted and has a gorgeous bouquet of red and black fruits, spicy oak, sandalwood, and peppery herbs that changes every time you come back to the glass. With medium to full-bodied richness, it has a stacked mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a great finish. I love it. This insanely good wine will keep for a solid 15+ years.
The 2021 Inspiracion is rich and intense, with an alluring bouquet of blood orange, rose petals, incense and cedary spice. Cashmere-like on the palate, it soothes the senses with its soft and giving nature as ripe wild berry fruit and crisp mineral tones penetrate deeply, adding grip toward the close. Plum sauce mingles with savory herbs and a bitter twang of dark chocolate as this finishes staining, structured and long. This is a flat-out stunning, co-fermented blend of 49% Grenache, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah and 6% Grenache Blanc. Fabulous.
