Tasting notes
Seavey's 2020 Chardonnay is largely barrel fermented and spent about nine months in 20% new French oak (one-third went into a concrete egg instead). With upfront notes of lemon, pear and pineapple, it's a crisp, medium-bodied effort that even shows an appealing chalkiness on the bright, refreshing finish.

Terrific stone and citrus fruits as well as a touch of chalky minerality emerge from the 2020 Chardonnay, a medium-bodied, elegant, balanced Chardonnay sourced from Seavey’s estate vineyard.
The 2020 Chardonnay Seavey Vineyard is bright and beautifully focused. Orchard fruit, lemon peel, white flowers and mint lend brilliance to this translucent, classically-built Chardonnay. The 2020 is a bit nervy, but all the elements are nicely balanced within the context of a year in which harvest was pushed up to avoid damage from nearby fires.
