Tasting notes
Pretty orchard fruits, peach, and tangerine notes all emerge from the 2019 Chardonnay Seavey Vineyard. Medium-bodied, with an exotic, honeyed character, good acidity, and a clean finish, it's a solid Chardonnay that has loads to love. As usual, this cuvée had malolactic blocked and was brought up in roughly 10% new French oak.

The 2019 Chardonnay Seavey Vineyard is a fitting conclusion to this tasting. Bright and finely cut, the 2019 possesses terrific energy and plenty of hillside verve. The lemon peel, orchard fruit and floral notes are nicely lifted, while supporting veins of saline minerality give the wine shape. This airy, restrained Chardonnay is a knock-out. Drink it over the next handful of years.
Seavey's 2019 Chardonnay was barrel-fermented in French oak, 10% new, and aged for nine months with minimal malolactic fermentation. It rolls out of the glass with notes of honeydew melon, honey-drizzled peaches and beeswax with hints of spiced pears and pie crust plus a waft of cedar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a lovely oiliness to the texture with bags of stone fruit and savory flavors, supported by just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. 234 cases were made.
