Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Newton Vineyard is more grippy and restrained, with perfumed blue fruits, violets, and gravelly earth-like aromatics. Full-bodied on the palate, it has terrific concentration, lots of tannins, and a great finish. However, it needs to be forgotten for a solid 4-5 years if possible.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Newton Vineyard is a seriously gorgeous wine. Deep, layered and opulent to the core, the 2019 is glorious. It's a big wine, like all these Cabernets, and yet there is a feeling of poise that is impossible to miss. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, cloves, new leather and licorice build into the huge, flamboyant finish.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Newton Vineyard tumbles effortlessly out of the glass with notes of plum preserves, baked blackberries and cassis, with an undercurrent of charcuterie, black olives and dried herbs. Full-bodied, firmly structured and concentrated, the abundant black fruit flavors are accented with plenty of savory nuances, and the finish is very long.
