Tasting notes
Deep bright-rimmed violet. Explosive aromas of dark berry preserves, cola, mocha, allspice and pipe tobacco, joined by a bright mineral nuance that builds with air. Fleshy and broad in the mouth, offering lush cassis and bitter cherry flavors that become sweeter and more lively on the back half. Finishes sweet and impressively long, with a repeating touch of vanilla and fine-grained, polished tannins adding shape and grip.

Made up of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Petit Verdot, the medium to deep ruby-purple colored 2017 L'Insolent is youthfully closed to begin, slowly offering up cassis, vanilla, sandalwood, blackberry pie, violet, milk chocolate and streaks of red fruit with minty touches. The palate is medium to full-bodied and very silky, fleshing out wonderfully in the mouth with red and black fruits, firmly framed by fine-grained tannins and with good freshness on the long finish. Lovely!
Made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Petit Verdot, the 2017 L'Insolent offers a full-bodied, dense, powerful style that’s going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age. Cedarwood, cassis, green tobacco leaves, graphite, and lead pencil notes all emerge from the glass, and it has a rounded, supple, sexy texture that still shows plenty of tannins. Do you best to keep your hands off bottles for a handful of years and it should have 10-15 years of prime drinking.
