Score 92/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015

Coming all from Bacchus Vineyard in the Columbia Valley, the 2012 Syrah Doctrina Perpetua is a young, concentrated and modern-style Syrah that gives up lots of black fruits, espresso roast, chocolate and a kiss of sweet oak to go with a full-bodied, ripe, layered and classically structured feel on the palate. It needs short-term cellaring to integrate its oak elevage, but it's an excellent wine.
