2005 Koehler Syrah

A Hermitage look-alike from Santa Ynez, Koehler’s full-bodied 2005 Syrah possesses notes of road tar, spring flowers, blueberries, crushed rocks, and creme de cassis. With high tannin, layers of flavor, and superb purity as well as depth, it represents a beautiful combination of Santa Ynez’s ripe, pure fruit and the structure and muscle of a great Hermitage from France’s Rhone Valley.
