Tasting notes
The 2020 Cuvée Lizzy is a blend of 48% Malbec, 35% Cabernet Franc, 13% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was made with free-run juice and matured for 16 months in 80% new French oak. The medium-bodied palate is gently rustic and chewy with softened acidity and an earthy finish. It's a good effort in a challenging vintage but unusually tertiary and savory so drink it over the next 3-5 years.

Not yet bottled, the 2020 Cuvee Lizzy is another inky hued vintage of this Malbec-dominated cuvée that has impressive blue and black fruits as well as notes of iron, tobacco, and sappy herbs. More medium to full-bodied, it has good acidity, a wonderful sense of elegance, and silky yet certainly present tannins.
