Score 85/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2004

Full medium red. Slightly high-toned aromas of redcurrant, tobacco and orange peel. Sweet and supple on entry, then a bit undifferentiated in the middle, with rather one-dimensional red fruit flavors. A bit warm and dry on the finish. (Another bottle of the same wine was more heavily oaky on the nose and showed an offputting vegetal note on the finish.)
