Tasting notes
An incredibly aromatic Grenache loaded with ripe cherry, flowery incense, pine forest, sandalwood, and resinous herb-like aromas and flavors, the 2019 Esquisto is medium-bodied and has solid overall balance, some grippy yet ripe tannins, and a great finish. It wins the lineup for the most singular and exotic and will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age. I wouldn't be shocked to see it drinking nicely after a decade.

The 2019 Esquisto, 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, is gorgeous. All the elements come together so effortlessly. Deep and pliant, with terrific energy, the 2019 opens beautifully in the glass. Blue/purplish fruit, spice, lavender, mint and licorice all flesh out. In 2019, the Esquisto is especially fine.
