Tasting notes
A ripe, exotic wine, the 2008 Brunello di Montalcino isn't lacking fruit or concentration. Ripe black cherries, smoke, licorice, tobacco, cloves and incense all flow to the deeply pitched, nuanced finish. This bold, racy Brunello will drink well for the next few years.

Dark ruby with broad orange rim. Developed sweet nose with a hint of oak and tar. Very accessible and consumer friendly with lots of ripe fruit, but not enormously complex. (WS)
