Tasting notes
The 2017 Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard has very pretty scents of dried chamomile, honeycomb, apple pie, toast and loads of honey-nut aromas over a peachy core. The palate is medium to full-bodied, intense and savory, with a silky texture and mouthwatering acidity to lift the very long, honeyed finish. This is savory Chardonnay with the volume turned up! 165 cases were made.

Shimmering green-hued yellow. Vibrant, mineral-accented citrus and orchard fruit, smoky lees and iodine scents on the highly perfumed nose, along with a suave floral nuance that builds with air. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering concentrated pear, nectarine and bitter quinine flavors and a sweeter honeydew melon quality that emerges on the back half. Finishes minerally, focused and impressively long, displaying resonating florality and a hint of salinity.
Apple blossom, stone fruits, crushed rocks, and spice notes all emerge from the 2017 Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard, a big, rich, powerful, opulent Chardonnay. With good acidity, a stacked mid-palate, and a great finish, powerful yet beautifully balanced Chardonnay does everything right.
