Tasting notes
Understated and remarkably pretty, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Estate is exotic and perfumed, with dried roses, black raspberry and a dusting of cocoa forming its bouquet. It splashes across the palate, silky and refined, with intense dark red fruits and saturating mineral tones. This leaves grippy tannins to linger, along with a primary concentration, while finishing with remarkable length. The 2019 is going to take years to fully mature, but I, for one, simply can't wait to revisit it.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley Estate has a Mouton-like vibe in its ripe, sexy red and black currants as well as notes of chocolate, tobacco leaf, truffle, and damp earth. Much more broad, round, and expansive compared to the Red Mountain release, it has supple, velvety tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's not far off the heavenly 2018 and will shine for 30 years as well. Readers will love being able to compare these two great vintages over the coming decades.
