Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2038, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2021

Coming from Spring Mountain and 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Marston Vineyard reveals a dense purple hue as well as a meaty, powerful bouquet of plum and currant fruits, bouquet garni, smoked herbs, and chocolate. This is a rich, nicely concentrated, structured mountain Cabernet with medium to full body, a layered, textured mouthfeel, and ripe yet certainly present tannins. It’s going to benefit from a handful of years in the cellar and should evolve gracefully for 15+.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard is sensual, delicate and nuanced. Red berry fruit, bright acids and blood orange open in the glass, all framed by silky Spring Mountain tannins that give the wine its super-finessed personality.
