Tasting notes
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Turf War is a rich, boisterous wine that captures all of the natural intensity of both the year and this corridor of St. Helena, where the wines are typically flamboyant. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, chocolate, new oak, spice and menthol build into the racy, extroverted finish.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Turf War Bisagno Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with notes of baked blackcurrants and plum preserves plus hints of blueberry compote, spice box, candied violets and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of expressive black fruit preserves flavors with a velvety texture and loads of savory layers on the finish. 25 cases were made.
